Why Manuka
Not all honey is the same.
Native to New Zealand, the Manuka plant produces a honey unlike conventional honey—prized for its distinctive composition and naturally occurring bioactive properties.
Among its defining characteristics is methylglyoxal (MGO), a naturally occurring compound associated with authentic Manuka honey and widely used as a measure of its potency.
Manuka honey has also become increasingly valued in skincare. It is naturally humectant, helping attract and retain moisture, while its distinctive composition and bioactive properties have made it the subject of extensive research and interest in skin care.
